Puerto Rico > Puerto Rico Islands > Culebra > Culebra Beaches > Punta Soldado Beach
As you drive down towards the beach, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the bay. Once you get to the bottom of the hill, you’ll pass what looks like a beach, not very good for swimming, a lot of seaweed and grass collects there. Keep driving towards the end of the dirt road to find the beach.
The best snorkeling spots are on the left side of the beach, you’ll walk on pebbles to get into the water, be sure to bring slip resistant water shoes. Please help keep Culebra’s coral reefs healthy, never step on the coral reef, touch or take anything away.
Towards the right side of the beach, you’ll find a thick cover of bleached coral that looks more like a carpet contrasting with brown and black rocks and a rock wall along the back.
The beach is narrow, there are only a few shaded spots, but since this beach doesn’t get much traffic, most likely you won’t have a problem finding a perfect spot to relax. You can sit on a rock or bring your lounge chair to enjoy views of Vieques and the main island of Puerto Rico in the distance.
There are no lifeguards at this beach, you swim and use beach at your own risk.
